Query: How do I get people to “stick to” me on Twitter?
I apologize for this getting on R&S. I basically pressed submit. Yahoo felt this is exactly where it belonged, probably due to the fact of all this talk of “followers”.
How do you get followers on Twitter?
I’m 29 and have made the decision to open my initial Twitter account devoted to Haiku,in which I do not post anything unless of course it is in Haiku. I wanted to do this to entertain my pals, but none of them have Twitter accounts. I constantly believed Twitter was a lame way for shallow, self absorbed people to get even much more narcissistic, but now that I have one I am the one particular feeling lame, mostly due to possessing ZERO “followers”.
Not knowing a lot about how Twitter operates, how do I get “followers” and what’s the greatest way to “advertise” my Twitter page?

A study was posted recently, which identified the average number of “tweets” a person will post (rounded up to the nearest whole number) as 1.
You can’t get followers because only celebrities use Twitter – no one cares about you. The same study found that about 90% of the content on Twitter was generated by about 10% of the users – all celebrities.
Honestly, I think Twitter is for teenage fat chicks.
Give them something worth following would be a good start.
